AmpRack · Intelligent Rack PDU
Outlet-Level Intelligence.
Factory Direct.
Metered, switched and per-outlet monitored rack PDUs — engineered on our own PCBA line, calibrated to ±1% and 100% tested before shipment.

Every outlet talks. Your DCIM listens.
One AmpRack PDU streams second-level telemetry to Sunbird, Device42, Nlyte or your own stack over SNMP v3, REST or MQTT — no gateways, no licensed add-ons. Chain up to eight units on a single IP address and add temperature, humidity, door and leak sensors wherever the rack needs eyes. Firmware updates ride the same channel, and every value is also pollable over Modbus TCP for the BMS side of the building.
How we work
From inquiry to loading bay
Inquiry
Tell us input, outlet count, metering grade and quantity. An engineer — not a sales script — replies within 48 hours.
Spec review
We confirm phase, breaker sizing, outlet mix and protocol set against your rack load plan, then quote FOB.
Sample
Standard units ship from stock; custom builds run through our pilot line in 3-7 days for your bench test.
Order
T/T 30% deposit to start. You get a named QA contact and serial-range visibility for the batch.
Production & test
SMT to final assembly in-house, then 100% calibration, functional, hipot and burn-in before packing.
Shipment
FOB, CIF or DDP. Cartons of 4-8 units, drop-test approved, with packing list and test records.

Data Center & Colocation
Outages cost over $7,500 per minute — billing-grade per-outlet visibility keeps invoices and capacity honest.

Our own line, our own boards
We build the PCBA.
Then we build the PDU around it.
SMT, calibration, assembly, hipot and burn-in under one roof — that is why the ±1% on the datasheet matches the unit in your rack.
Tour the factoryWhy AmpRack
Built by the factory, not the trading desk
Calibration is a station, not a claim
Every PDU passes a reference-source bench before the housing closes: ±1% is verified per unit, and the calibration record ships with the serial range of your batch. There is no "typical accuracy" footnote to apologize for later.
Relays we would use ourselves
Per-outlet switching uses 16A relays rated for 100,000 mechanical cycles behind hydraulic-magnetic breakers that do not derate in a warm rack. The switching bank is our own PCBA design — the same line that powers the metering board.
Protocols first, lock-in never
SNMP v3 with our MIB, REST with documented endpoints, MQTT to your broker — no proprietary manager, no per-point license. If your DCIM can read a counter, it can read an AmpRack.
