Metered rack PDU: billing-grade energy at the feed

One metering board per feed reports current, voltage and power within 1% and totals energy on a 1 grade register at 0.1 kWh scale, on the OLED panel, the web server and SNMP at once.

Metering registers

Every register and the digit it reports in

A number is only checkable when its scale and its accuracy are stated, so both are fixed at order and repeated on the specification sheet.

Mechanism

Where the current sample is taken

The sample is taken on the busbar that feeds the outlet row rather than on the inlet cord, so the reading covers what the rack actually draws. The shunt and the metering chip share a ground with the control board, which keeps the analogue path short and removes the second enclosure an external meter would add.

Readouts

Six registers on one metering board

Each figure is a register value with a stated scale. The panel, the web server and the SNMP object tree report the same numbers.

What the meter sees

Eight readings on the metered feed

Current 1% +1 digit Scale 0.1A on panel and SNMP.
Voltage 90V ~ 350V Scale 1V across the window.
Power voltage x current One sampling window for totals.
Energy 1 grade 0.1 kWh on a billing-grade register.
Threshold alert SMTP Trip and clear messages to the admin.
Event log 20,000 Records kept through a power cut.
Web server on board Register page served by the unit.
Sensor input -30°C ~ 100°C Temperature and humidity channels.
Verification

Three steps between a metered line and an invoice

Each step leaves a document, so the metering chain can be audited after delivery.

Unit test

Every unit runs a 100% electrical test at the configured load, and the panel reading is compared against the reference bench meter.

Register check

Scales, register list and SNMP object identifiers are checked against the order line before packing.

Site thresholds

Current and temperature trip points stay configurable, so the operating team sets them rather than inheriting a factory default.
