Per-outlet monitored PDU: one current reading per receptacle

Current, power and energy are read on each receptacle, so a rack can be attributed per device instead of per feed. Accuracy holds at 1% and the total energy register stays 1 grade at 0.1 kWh scale.

What is measured on one receptacle

The channel count follows the outlet count, so a 24-outlet unit reports 24 current values against the same clock. Retention is what makes the numbers usable after a billing period.

Five figures one outlet reports

A per-outlet report is only useful when the channel is named, so the outlet number travels with the value into the alarm and into the log.

Reading a rack instead of a feed

A feed total says the rack drew power; a channel row says which device did. Colocation and laboratory racks are billed on that difference, so the channel map is drawn against the outlet numbering and kept in the register list rather than resolved on site.
