Switched rack PDU: a remote hand on every outlet group

Breaker per group or per outlet with remote power cycling over SNMP, Modbus or the onboard web server. SMTP traps report the state change, and the metering board keeps 1% accuracy on the same feed.

Switching
per outlet or per group
Protocols
SNMP, Modbus, RS485
Interfaces
10/100M Ethernet x1
Alerts
SMTP, threshold configurable
De-energised restart
Off, On, or last state
Metering accuracy
1% on the same feed
Switching parameters

What is switched, and what watches it

The relay schedule is part of the order, not a setting discovered on site, so each outlet group is assigned a mode before the unit is built.

Switching modes

Five states a group can hold

Each group is assigned one of these modes at order, so a reboot command has a defined result rather than a guess.

Mode 01Offno output on the group
Mode 02Onoutput held live
Mode 03Last statereturns live after a power cut
Mode 04Timed cyclecommanded reboot window
Mode 05Groupedseveral outlets, one command

Protection

One protective device per group, not one per chassis

The inlet breaker alone cannot separate a single failed supply from the rest of the rack, so the switched type carries a protective device per outlet group. A trip takes one group dark and the alarm names it; the remaining groups keep their state and their metering.

  • Group alarmSMTP, named in the message
  • Unaffected groupsstate and metering held
  • Feed rating10A ~ 32A
Control surface

Eight values on the switched type

Switched points per outlet or group Relay schedule fixed at order.
Feed current 10A ~ 32A Breaker above the configured load.
Metering 1% Held on the same feed as the switchgear.
Interfaces Ethernet, RS485 SNMP and Modbus on one control board.
Alerts SMTP traps Thresholds configurable after delivery.
Event log 20,000 Records with the real-time clock held.
Local display OLED Current, voltage, power, energy, switch state.
Compliance UL 62368-1 component CE and RoHS as applicable.
