C13 vs C19: choosing outlet combinations
The outlet mix sets how many plugs one chassis can carry. A 10A C13 branch and a 16A C19 branch are different ratings, and the feed behind them is a third number again.

The numbers an outlet combination is built from
Outlet rating, feed size and monitoring depth are three separate rows. Each one is published for the series.
| Item | Published value | How it shapes the row |
|---|---|---|
| C13 branch rating | 10A | The current one IEC C13 outlet is rated for |
| C19 branch rating | 16A | The current one IEC C19 outlet is rated for |
| Combination example | C19 × 4 + C13 × 36 | A mixed outlet row on one chassis |
| Input current | 10A–32A | The feed the unit is ordered against |
| Output current | 10A–16A | The branch rating at each outlet |
| Working voltage | 110V~250V AC | The supply the unit is wired to |
| Frequency | 50Hz~60Hz | The supply band at the rack |
| Conductors | VDE 2.5mm² / 6mm² | Internal wiring gauge inside the unit |
| Connection | copper busbar | How an outlet branch reaches the feed |
| Monitoring depth | per feed · per outlet | Which outlet a reading can be attributed to |
| Metering accuracy | ±1% + 1 digit | Current, voltage and active power |
| Energy total | 1 grade · 0.1 kWh | The billing row on each reporting line |
| Remote switching | per outlet or per group | On switched builds, addressed over the network |
| Mounting | vertical / zero-U · horizontal / 1U | The chassis orientation in the rack |
| Electrical testing | 100% of units | Every unit is tested before it leaves the line |

Count the plugs before the amps
An outlet combination is a count set against a rating. The chassis is built with a mix such as C19 × 4 + C13 × 36, and the feed behind that mix is rated separately from any single outlet.
A C13 branch carries 10A and a C19 branch carries 16A, while the input to the same chassis is ordered anywhere from 10A to 32A. The gap between those figures is the point: a feed rated above the sum of the outlets on it lets a row run below its breaker while the equipment still draws what it needs. Monitoring depth decides what can be attributed afterwards — total current per feed, or current per outlet on switched builds. Conductors inside the unit are specified as VDE 2.5mm² or 6mm², taken to a copper busbar.

-
The rating belongs to the outlet. A C13 branch is a 10A branch and a C19 branch is a 16A branch, whatever the feed is rated at.
-
The feed is a separate number. Input current is ordered from 10A to 32A, and the breaker sits at the feed.
-
Attribution needs per-outlet metering. Total current per feed at 0.1A is the default; per-outlet readings identify which unit drew it.
