Threshold alerts and SMTP
Thresholds on the monitoring board raise an SMTP message through the same interface that serves the web page. The message names the line and the value that crossed the set point, and the crossing is written into the log.

What each line can raise
One row per line that can carry a set point, and what the crossing sends. Set points are written per line on the same sheet as the metering scope, so the alert and the meter stay in step.
| Line | Set point | Sent at the crossing |
|---|---|---|
| Feed current | settable per feed, 0.1A scale | message and a dated log entry |
| Total current | settable on the feed sum | message and a dated log entry |
| Voltage | settable in a 90V ~ 350V window | message and a dated log entry |
| Active power | settable per feed, ±1% reading | message and a dated log entry |
| Temperature | settable across -30°C ~ 100°C, 1°C | message and a dated log entry |
| Humidity | settable across 1% ~ 99%, 1% | message and a dated log entry |
| Message path | SMTP from the monitoring board | to the address named on the request |
| Local repeat | OLED and the embedded web page | the same value, visible at the rack |
| Log entry | dated by the RTC | read over Ethernet or RS485 |
| Retention | up to 20,000 entries | room for the window around a fault |

A message that arrives with the line and the value
A threshold that only lights a lamp in the hall depends on somebody walking past. Here the crossing leaves as an SMTP message naming the line and the value, and the same crossing is written into the log with the time from the RTC, so the message and the record carry the same evidence.

One row per line a set point can sit on
Each row is a line on the reporting board: the item, the scale its set point is written at, what the crossing triggers, and where the same value is repeated.
From a named line to a message
Three stages, in order. The first is decided with the buyer; the other two run on the board without a platform behind them.
Name the line and the set point
The line, the value and the address for the message are written on the same sheet as the metering scope, so the alert matches the meter it watches.
Compare on each sample
The board compares the reading against the set point on every cycle, at the published scale for that line.
Send and write
On a crossing the SMTP message leaves and the entry is written into the log with the time from the RTC, so the message can be matched to the record.
Send the lines to watch, get the set point list
Outlet combination, current per feed, metering depth and remote switching. The reply carries the lines that can raise a message and a per-line specification sheet, in English.
